As renewable energy develops in Saudi Arabia, two 20t straddle carriers have been installed and commissioned at a wind power yard on August 10, 2019. The 20t straddle carrier was designed by Huadelift to play a key role in the transport of heavy equipment and components at the site.
Designed and manufactured specifically for the project, the straddle carrier has a capacity of 20 tons and the ability to move at up to 15 km/h. The 20t straddle carrier will be used to transport wind turbine components such as blades, towers and nacelles from storage areas to installation sites. The use of modern equipment such as the 20t straddle carrier is expected to improve the efficiency and speed of the installation process, ultimately reducing the overall cost of the project.
The installation and commissioning of the 20t straddle carrier was carried out by our engineers from Huadelift Industry and local workers, with strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The successful completion of the 20t straddle carrier is expected to pave the way for more renewable energy projects.
